Tennesse is one of the most beautiful states in the nation. Full of waterfalls, rugged mountains, and charming country roads. It is the perfect state to get lost in for a few days. However, with so many gorgeous areas, it may be hard to decide where you should visit. With that in mind, we decided to create a guide of three of the most spectacular natural destinations in Tennessee. Check out any of these or all of them and fill your lungs with some good ole country air!
One of the top destinations that should be on your map if you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life is Nolensville. In fact, this is just about as far as you can get from city life. It is like taking a journey back in time, you just might expect to see Pa Ingles walking down the street! It is the perfect location to go antique hunting down main street. Or if you have a bit of the sweet tooth enjoy any of the treats available from the authentic Amish bakeries located here as well. However, if you just want to enjoy the atmosphere and chat it up with the locals, take a step inside Mama’s Java. You will not find any of the typical coffee shop behavior here, just good coffee and fine folks.
If you are looking for those picture perfect postcard scenes, look no further than Savage Gulf. In fact, this is just about one of the most beautiful locations in all of Tennessee. A good number of people come here and never want to leave. Consider this a Utopia right here on our planet. The area is filled with gorgeous sandstone cliffs and waterfalls. There are over forty trails, which one will you take to enjoy this little slice of heaven on earth?
While you are at Savage Gulf, you might as well make the journey over to Sewanee. This is another awe-inspiring location that will just take your breath away. You can enjoy the natural splendor of the area as you walk along the Sewanee Perimeter Trail. In addition, the University of the South is located here and it is considered to be one of the most beautiful colleges in the nation, so take that in as well.
These three destinations are going to make you want to become a permanent resident of Tennessee!
